MUM'S NIGHT

Are you looking for a bit of 'me' time? Looking to meet new friends and try new activities? Have a laugh with other mums? Why don't you come along to our mum's night? The programme is set by the group themselves and is designed to provide the opportunity to unwind and de-stress, have fun and build lasting friendships. We meet every second Monday at 7.00pm - 9pm at St. Andrews Church, Drumchapel.

Mums night is a session targeted at mums and females carers and the outcome is that isolation is reduced due to being included within a group and socialising with other parents. Mums/carers then have increased well-being due to having the chance to relax and socialise outwith caring for their family, and then due to this family relationships are then improved.

One mum had said the following on attending mums night: "I now feel confident to attend community events independently instead of having to rely on the company of someone else. I benefit greatly from having adult company and the fact that it breaks up the reality of being a carer 24/7. It gives me a sense of renewed energy to be able to cope with challenging behaviour on a daily basis. I also made new friends which reducing my feelings of isolation, and gave me a sense of belonging in the community".

Please note that booking is not required for this group, you are able to come along on the night - however if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on 0141 944 5740 or by emailing us at info@3ddrumchapel.org.uk.
